a dream come true

i finally own a pair of air jordans.

for as long as i can remember i have wanted to own a pair of these shoes. i watched michael jordan play, just to see a close-up of his shoes. i browsed through youtube and watched the old mars blackmon commercials. i have books dedicated to sneakers highlighting these hi-tops and i can identify by sight all 21 iterations of this signature sneaker. but for too long a lack of money and a wealth of thriftyness have keep me from getting them. that all ended with a whim, a sale and encouragement from the most consummate shopper i know.

so now, for the first time, i am the proud owner of a pair of air jordan 5s in silver, green bean and flint grey. they may only be my second favorite version of the shoe, my favorite is the jordan 11, but they're still f'in' rad and i love 'em.
