olympic logo
the london olympic organizing committee released the official logo for the 2012 olympics today. when somebody in my office showed it to me i thought, "i can do better than that." so i created my own logo.
the logo is based on the map of the london subway system. the overall shape represents the bouquet the winners receive with their medals during the medal ceremony. london is placed at the bottom as a label for the stop where all the lines, representing the people of the world, come together, just as everyone will come together for the olympic games. i chose a type face that uses a circular "O" to reflect the shape of the symbol representing where lines and people intersect.
tell me what you think.

i think yours is a heck of a lot better than the seizure-inducing logo they currently have
Definately better than the official logo. I really like how you incorporated a subway-inspired design to make it more specific to the region.
beautiful and well thought.
i wonder what the symbolism behind the pink new-wave is supposed to be . . .
I like it. Send a copy to the olmpic committee.
Dad
I can't believe that the committee decided on the pink logo.
I love your design. Very well thought through while maintaining it's olympic symplicity.
Consider turning it in. I can definately assist you through the right avenues, if needed.
