digital, dance, love

i love to rock! tonight i'm jamming with my yamaha pss-470 keyboard (above) and yamaha fg-470s acoustic guitar. (weird. i had no idea they were in the same series.) since i don't really know how to play anything i play notes until i'm reminded of a tune. for instance i figured out the tune for "i'm so lonesome i could cry" by hank williams on the guitar after plucking high e and a couple g's and "frere jacques" on the keyboard when i got the c-d-e-c motive. the keyboard also has a bitchin' synth-beat control with polka beats, disco beats, and rock beats. this is where the fun kicks in. i like to crank the beats while i tickle the keys. usually i come up with something catchy and play it over and over. tonight i produced this daft punk-style number and wrote a few lyrics about dancing and kissing on the dance floor. it's pretty killer. if i can flesh it out i'll take the gear down to capone's for open-mic night. so watch out. it's gonna be digitally awesome.
